Really bad decision(s), Scott; $ for those rims, and the Merc, first was owed to child support (cf. Judge Judy, Judge Mathis...). Then maybe you wouldn't have run from the law, which will always catch your a** (cf. Cops; Bait Car...)
YMMV

So it is his fault he was shot five times while not presenting a danger to anyone? Good thing they preformed CPR on him.I haven't heard what the officer picked up and dipped by the victim, ÷I am sure he deserved it.

Looks pretty fishy to me. And, it may even be that the cop picked up the taser where the perp left it at his feet, and set it by the corpse, to make it look like he still had it in his possession when he was shot.

The whole thing reeks, and it's just another nail in the coffin of our rights. Another reason the nanny-nazis will demand more cameras everywhere. Pretty soon you won't be able to disable the GPS, or even remove the battery form yer phone, or even use cash. Hell they'll probably demand that everyone get chipped, and what they won't tell us until it's too late, is that the chip can instantly tase you if a cop deems it necessary...

That is my assumption. What I don't get is he gave his license to the cop. Did he think running was going to let him get away? Obviously I doubt he thought he would be shot over back support and running away from what likely would have been a trip to jail, but between the moving of evidence and the lying about performing CPR, it doesn't look good for at least two cops.

Nobody deserves this kind of thing, even if he was an inveterate thief, he is always entitled to a fair trial that he deserves.

Well, yea. If they shot him because of the rims, that is understandable.

Purpose was a good laugh. The text quotes the Mayor saying the cop made a really bad decision.
It's clear as hell the perp made really bad decisions in series (10+ priors, warrant for non-payment of child support). Then the laugher topper was the choice of rims (financed with back due child support fer sure) on a Mercury Grand Marquis. Then he ran from the cops. Loser. Big time.
Funny.
