Re: Help me
Vovan, just a little info about the wires that run along the frame on that side of the car.
a) Connection to the EGR pressure sensor. This sensor clips to the air filter.
b) A/C clutch wiring - there is the a/c clutch diode along the frame. Connections often go bad on this diode. Best to solder in a new diode.
c) Vacuum switch for transmission converter lockup solenoid. Test this vacuum switch to ensure it trips at 15 inches of vacuum.
Some people replace this with a switch on the dash and turn on lockup only when on the highway.
d) Ignition coil. Make sure connections are clean.
e) ABS front wheel sensor comes in here also.

Re: Help me
Yes, the important thing is the EVTM will tell you where things are located.

Re: Help me
A very detailed book, I have never seen anything like it before. It will be convenient to use it to assemble a car.brokencase wrote: ↑Wed Jun 19, 2024 3:51 pm Yes, the important thing is the EVTM will tell you where things are located.
Re: Help me
Can you send me a photo of how the headlights are attached? If possiblebrokencase wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 12:42 pm Vovan - the routing of the vacuum lines is a little complicated. If you need details on this just let us know. I can take more closeup pictures as needed. My engine bay area is pretty original.

Re: Help me
Vovan - I converted to Euro spec headlamps, and I had to make modification to do this. So I'm not sure pictures of my setup would help you.
The two headlamps styles are a bit different. I'll take some pictures from behind the grill anyway.
Maybe someone else can take some photos of the US style.

Re: Help me
Vovan should buy the Scorpio Service Manual. It's well worth whatever total cost (price paid plus shipping).

Re: Help me
Hi everyone! When I was disassembling the car, I remember that there was a grille in this place, but I don't remember how it is attached or what it looks like. If someone can take a picture of this place, I would be grateful.
Re: Help me
Image does not show up, at least for me. ???

Re: Help me
I didn't have any problem viewing the image, but I will try to attach it to this post for those who do have issues.

Re: Help me
I didn't doubt that it wasn't showing up for you. I've had similar things happen in the past, both here and on other forums, where others could see an image and I saw nothing. However, troubleshooting these issues can be very difficult, because of the many variables involved between the different clients. From operating system, browser, configuration, security settings, plug-ins, the list just goes on and on.
Far simpler to take the image that I could view and attach it to my post where (almost) everyone should be able to view it and move on with trying to answer the original question.

Re: Help me
Vovan - There are several layers of things that go in that area. Blower assembly, heat shields, etc...
I found the following images in my library that might help.

P.S. It's disgusting to saw the fan housing. I thought only Russia did that. By the way, I'll soon post a report on working with this box, now I'll have an air filter for the interior.
