Yeah, I mentioned about a handful of others too. People are contacting me about joining, I just pass it along, but so far still not able to join.

For me the site (lately) has seemed to work better than just a few months ago. Of course I'm not trying to join up as a new user. Seems like other forums have been having all sorts of issues.

I think it's two different issues. The "Denial of service" issue due to bot attacks we have largely resolved via the addition of some software that thwarts the attacks.

The issue with new members not being able to sign up is very sporadic, without a clear cause. I've asked anyone having an issue to reach out to me, but so far only one person has, and I was able to get him squared away quickly.
