Use of Surplus MCA Funds

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

From time to time, we have some extra funds in the treasury that need to be spent. We had such a situation occur just recently, and so I have spent the money in a manner I thought was consistent with promoting teamwork in the Merkur community....

The Susquahana River is a mere 10 miles from the Hotel Carlisle. I'm having the channel depth checked out by the USCG to determine if we need to have the Corps of Army Engineers dredge it in places prior to our June event.

In light of how little money there ever is for Merkurs, I think this is how it really is:

... and even then you guys probably went over budget.

Having lived in Carlisle at one time, I can tell you from experience that lots of that river is barely deep enough to get a good 4x4 stuck in.

I had them pump out the Budweiser to make room for something a little more upscale. Also, thanks to the good input provided above, it's been determined that the vessel will only make it up the Susquahana to the port of Harrisburg if unladden, so we'll do that and have it filled there Thursday evening, June 1. I have no concerns that it will be unladden again by Sunday evening.

Perhaps I should move this thread to the Carlisle section??? :P

So that's what the red line is? Interesting... learn something new every day!

You are wrong. The previous owners of this ship had it posted on their website, complete with the details from the owners we bought it from in the Marshall Islands. Check it out. It is no Photochop.

So, are you coming to Carlisle?
