I'm messing with the idea of getting xr4ti gas tanks made in plastic. WHat do you think?
88 maroon xr4ti,
88 xr4ti now blue.
88 xr4ti black,
88 xr4ti red,
88 xr4ti white.
Can I stop now I'm broke.

Seconded... ESPECIALLY if you can design it to fit some other fuel level sender!

Not to be cynical
, but, when you get done messing with the idea and get serious about it, I think you'll find it's not financially feasible. Best bet would be to try to adapt one from another car that is already available. I considered adapting one from a Scorpio, but it's way more different than you might imagine.

I just wonder WHY!? These cars had great distribution, why mess with it?

Plastic tanks don't rust or corrode, they're safer in accidents, they don't weigh as much...
It may very well not be financially feasible, but it's a good idea if it's doable...

Basic reason is that you can't get a new steel tank anywhere - I've tried!
