New front aero mock up, whether it will work or not is up for debate but it looks cool.

I'm not sure but if you've seen my rear spoiler, I can adjust the effectiveness of my rear spoiler by rolling up or rolling down my drivers & passager windows. Thats why I'm putting the end plates on Dzus fasteners, you see it now with just tape on for now, but it will be serving 2 things, 1 for hitting cones it can easily replaced and 2 if I get to much down force I can remove it. Yeah right to much down force :BS !

So for you autocrossers, I tried something this weekend that I had on the back of my mine. So I went to the MCA classifieds and found some Scorpio TCA's and thought "why not" so I installed them on the stock spindles, for 1 to get a little more track in the front, which it did by 1.25+ and 2 make the TCA's more level with the ground and it worked, it also added more camber at which point I took out my camber plates and still had -2.65 degrees, so 1/8 toe out and BAM it seams to work.

The only reason for this is I didn't want to spend the money on adjustable TCA's, only to find out they wouldn't work for me. Give it a try, I was really happy with the out come this weekend. A BMW and me were the only 2 wheel drive SM cars, the other 5 where EVO's and 2 of those had 500 hps, well I was the only SM in the 27.5** the fastest EVO was 28.2** so the potential is huge.

Hmm, interesting. Bolts right in no problem? No changes to the swaybar or ball joints?

I think Ben is running 3door hubs these days but not sure if he has fitted them yet.

No 3door yet not sure if there legal, I did mock them up and other 3000.00 in new struts, new wilwood hats 350.00 and no job, it's on the back burner.

scorpio TCA's fit the XR sway bar, there just off, it looked like an 1/8", the taper is off, like 2 to 3 degrees but what they do is lower the TCA, which if you have lowered your XR, helps in the front geometry. I've already playing with this on mine XR and the turn in is better and that could be because of the wider track and the better geometry combo but feels great.

Thanks for trying this out Ben. This has been on my list of things to look in to. What did you do about the inner pivot bushing/bolt? I know the Scorpio uses a larger bolt, but do the XR bushings fit into the scorpio TCAs?

SM rules say you have to use the stock pick up points, so I just drill out the hole to put in the 12mm bolt, so not to be foul of the rules.

and they are 2 different bushings.

The other thing for me was, will it change the way the tires turn inside the fender, does it hit more and no it didn't.

I drilled my cross member/subframe holes outward and up a 1/2" or so. One issue I almost ran into was the amount of thread left inside the outer tie rods. Did you have this issue with the longer arms?

The camber gains you are seeing seem to be prefect.

I'm not sure about the inner/outer tie rod ends but ran an autocross with no problems. The thing I'm going to do in the off season is double check to make sure enough tread, if not I hear that the Scorpio inner tie rods are longer, going to buy some to find out, unless someone know this to be true already.

I was planning to overcome any issues with a 1" solid rod that is 4" long. Bored into each end at 1-1/2" with a dead space in the middle (1") for spacing.

I also ran an autox which it seemed fine, but I dont have near the tire that you have. I'd be curious to see where yours lands.

I don't have as much tire as you all think I do, because of the rules, I'm running the smallest tires in the class 225 40 17, 9in wide and 255 35 18 10.3in wide but the good thing I don't have to worry about the weight of the XR untill I get close to 2340lbs.
