To get the thread back on topic. I got the floor pan out of the car. The floor pan as it's pictured weighed 159lbs.
The total amount of metal I have removed, minus the small pieces I threw away, is 267lbs.
The chassis as pictured weighs 358 lbs.
I am guess the completed car will be about 2000lbs.

I went through about 10 air body saw blades , and one plasma cutter tip. The garage still smells like burnt undercoating. It's amazing the amount of undercoating these cars have on them in the wrong places since they still rust.
what's an air body saw blade? when i was building the exhaust for my truck, i went thru 5 blades with about 10 cuts with the 'di-metal' blades, which i thought were supposed to be made for cutting steel. it was frustrating to say the least. and i cut a total of perhaps 1% or less of what you cut.
