Wheel Mount for Garage Decoration

Post by anglin »

I've had the front face of a spatula wheel sitting around in my tool chest for about a decade:

The front face was from a wheel that had been cracked and I cut the barrel off of it.

Since I've got a fancy 3D printer, now, I decided to make a wall mount for it so I could get it out of the otherwise empty tool chest drawer. (I also did it because it almost made me feel like I was working on the car, which I haven't done since 2018.) I used some spare lug nuts and a set of new studs, along with some extruded plastic and some #8 screws to mount the wheel to the wall. Then I got to thinking, I've got a couple of sets of studs and I can make a couple more of these... maybe somebody else wants one. Email me at:

my still active mc2racing email address (see signature)

For $45 shipped in the continental US, I'll send:
  • 1x wheel mount
  • 4x wheel studs, installed in the wheel mount
You'll need to provide:
  • 1x OEM XR4Ti wheel of your choice, with most of the barrel cutoff
  • 4x lug nuts
  • 4x minimum #8 wood screws, each threaded into a stud, with proper thread engagement
