Booked my room on Saturday morning (3/18). Called the 800 number. I told the woman who answered that I needed to book a room for Friday June 2 & Saturday June 3. She asked me if I was coming in with a group. I replied Merkur Club of America. Everything went smoothly. Non smoking room, Merkur Club rate, confirmation number. Done. No mention of being sold out at all. Maybe it all depends on who is answering the phone. Don't give up, keep calling until you get the right answers.

Room Reservation

Ok so I called to get my room today (3/23) and initially got the "Im sorry but that weekend..." anwser. I told the woman my car club has rooms reserved for that weekend, she typed in Merkur Club of America and sure enough I got a room. That's the key when you call. But anyways the moral of this story,
To see more merkurs then you ever will in your life, hang out with the coolest people and have in general an amazing vacation, CALL AND GET A ROOM NOW! I don't even own a merkur, I own a honda, haha.

Just got of the phone w/ them and finally made reservations! They said they still have a few rooms left. Phone call went surprisingly well after hearing all the horror stories.
"I'd like to make a reservation"
"are you with a club?"
"Yup, Merkur Club of America"
"june 2-3?"
"Yes"
"Smoking or non-smoking? / police escort to your room? / mint on your pillow?, etc. , gimmie your CC # , etc. etc. "

If you guys find there are no rooms left please PM or e-mail me.
Trough a mistake in reservations the CCNA (Capri Club of North America) we have PLENTY of rooms available. The block was supposed to be for 12 they grabbed us 24!
Room rate is $109 per night. Hotel is only 2 miles from the grounds.

Thanks Joe. We still have rooms available at the Hotel Carlisle, however, any remaining rooms from our reserved block will be turned out to the public on May 2 (30 days prior to the event). That means it's time to get your butt in gear and reserve your room! Bear in mind, reservations can be cancelled, so if you're on the fence (for whatever silly reason), make the reservation any way.

Same with the CCNA block. Reserve the room and as long as you cancel 24hrs before the reserve date there's no charge....

Just got word from a local Merkur owner that they cancelled their reservation at Hotel Carlisle. Better call 'em up!
