17 years? I hope mine won't take that long... It's already taken 17x longer than I thought. :x

To paraphrase Steinbeck's Lennie, "Tell me 'bout the gas cap George", or more precisely the filler door. I can't tell from the pics; what's the source and is it locking?

The gas cap is from Goodridge in England and it is locking. Quite the job to install as it is smaller than the flapper door. It's a nice piece though and all aluminum.

In case you didn't know, John's car was also featured in that same great August '96 issue of european car that Rich Maljian's car was in.

There are two great XR's in Arizona that I'm aware of: this one, and the late Rose Datil's car, lovingly maintained by Peter Orlinski. Between them, they have set high-water marks that leave the rest of us desert dwellers-- well, in the dust!
