You're just jealous that your steering rack is NOT ford blue.

Dont have any pics of the steering rack or wheel, but i'll try to remember to take a couple.

Anyway, first event with a non rudder rack and non floppy wheel proved that i made the right decision. Had a blast, and learned that 710's dont like as much camber as i'm running so i'm going to dial some out next time.

anyway, pics.

started almost lifting inner rear again - need to fix this as ... well RWD + lifting inner rear has some serious accel problems.

and here is my friend Liam's car - helped get this fixed a few weeks back so he owed me a couple fun runs, unfortunately, the fan clips broke and the car started to get too hot so instead of driving it i got to help fix it. Next time, Liam. He consistantly is very close to FTD, pretty much no matter what car he's in. Pic is too big to embed, but check it out

So what's the deal with the rack? Is it something different than stock?

It's the tighter ratio factory rack.

Nice action shot, but it is this late in the season and you only have two cone kills?

Two cones for the day so far, Anglin. They're magnetic kill badges. I had 4 yesterday (one first run, one second run (same cone, actually), then i got a bit too hot on the last run and nicked one, then plowed another.

I dont keep count for the season, but it's WELL more than two. ;)

3 events left!

Gotcha. I went with the quick ratio and a 12" wheel. I may go for 13" since it covers up a lot of the gauges. I went with the 12" for leg room.

quick ratio rack, painted ford blue to make the car faster (note the ground hub on the motor on the old AC compressor bolt)

and of course, the factory pumpkin that i painted ford blue to make sure it didn't break @ the last event. had to swap this back in when we broke some teeth in the other diff (which is painted flat black now). My co-driver wants to paint yellow spirals on the half shafts. I'm going to let him.

Fixed it for ya, Ray.

The good news is that thick blue paint like you have holds the diff together if it does break. You won't scatter pieces all over the track.
