Cool. I'll have to come down somtime and we can compare cars. Mine doesn't spool until 4k, but I've got a Stage V 0.63 turbine housing, so it's going to breath up top. I dug out my ported iron, BV head and put it next to the car, to kinda motivate myself to slap it in there (maybe it will swap itself). With 4.10 gears, I don't need the low end grunt.

Hey Ray,

Just got back from Bo-ports shop and we were talking headers and the different types out there, he had a Rod's header and did some flow testing and found that it flow as well as a ported E6, sorry for all your hard work to install that header.

OK, this is a really dumb question, but does the Cossie exhaust housing make our cars sound like angry squirrels like the real Cossies we see on most videos?

No i think that has more to do with the head design, if you're referring to the exhaust note. The chirping was from the blow of valves. My car has a pretty loud PSSHT sound for the BOV and the engine note is just a bit deeper and a little more raspy than it was before. That also might be attributed to the essy head, as i did both at the same time.

Got some new injectors -but not installed until the megasquirt comes together later this year.

Took the front apart, again, and cleaned / relubed the sway bar bushes. Decided to try the carbon graphite spray this time instead of grease, in only that i'm sick of cleaning grease from bushings each season. If it starts to bind, i'll have to go back to grease. Also put the 710's back on. Washed and waxed the wheels, and figured, hey, why not go take a few pictures in the rain?

Anyway. My back is absolutely killing me (think i twisted wrong or pulled a muscle or something. Sucks getting old.) I was going to pull the bed on the truck, and replace the wood decking, but i really cant lift too too much today, so that'll be a project for another "rainy day".

Waiting on my europlate...

It's good to have proper tire back under the car again.

Still waiting on my paint to come in for the flares.

And, back inside the shop.

Going to get the car on the trailer tonight when the rain stops, do one more final once over, then hopefully head up to the Uconn show tomorrow early AM before anyone gets there to TRY and set my boost and fuel pressure

Thanks John. First race (non-points members only) is tomorrow. I towed the car to the UConn show today, was surpised that i was parked NEXT TO AN AUDI R8 and more people were looking at the merkurs... heh.

Got some nice sunrise pictures of the car (on the trailer) this morning. I'll post them later. One of the perks to living on a hill. The downside is the driveway is long, steep, and narrow, and shoveling sucks.

Mike - I put an LED in there that is on when the car is running. One of those things that's just amusing to me. I also capped off the rear wiper delete and the rear washer fluid reservoir with beer caps. :)

MODEL - they're really great cars. Rewarding. No one knows what they are, which adds (for me at least) the desire in wanting to continue to make sure that everyone (around here at least) knows what little gems they really are.

Do you have any details on the construction of your front air-dam?

TIA,
