Your going to love the power, less lag, the works, you should pick up 30 to 40 hp's but your tqr may come down a bit.

My only recommendation for you would be to run 55 lbs injectors if MS can do that, I don't think the 45 lbs are going to be right, you have a big valve head right?

Remember with more power your going to need better brakes, or brake earlier. You'll see

Nah, i got them for a really good deal. Joe / hEaT has i think 75lb/hr and a stock head and he's running like 80% duty, so i figured this would be something that i could tune for and not worry about for a while.

Does anyone else here use launch control on their MS? if so, what RPM are you launching at? It's set to 2800 rpm right now but i still laid about a 10' patch of rubber down in the driveway.

What is a launch control going to do for you, I mean..I don't think MS that smart that you will get a true "launch control". Right now I'm revving my Xr up to 3000 rpm's and slipping the clutch to get very little wheel spin off the line with a 1.76 sec 0-60 foot time.

We all don't have millions of dollars&people fine tuning all the little thing to give you that unfair advantage over the other guy. Just my .02

Ben, the MS can do a spark only cut where it will cut x sparks from y total to limit RPM and build boost. It can also do fuel cut which I have to use now since the TFI is still controlling the coil. If I go WOT at 2800rpm fuel cut I can build about 7psi, of course it will just burn tire.

Ray, try launching at half throttle. The time I raced I had mine set at 2800rpm spark retard, 3000rpm hard limit. I launch on about 1/3-1/2 throttle and it was perfect. When the rpms started to drop I went WOT.

Let me know about this weekend. I'm busy part of the day on Sunday, but that's it so far IIRC. Also, I need to talk to you about some Focus things when you have a chance.

Yeah, I'm running 75lb injectors at stock fuel pressure. I'm sure if I upped fuel pressure I could run much smaller ones or have a ton more headroom with these.

So haven't really been updating this thread.

Changes made since last pictures:

New front rotors (oooh no big deal)
Megasquirt Standalone ECU (pain in the butt to tune)
83lb/hr injectors
no more VAM, as the MS has a MAP built in
Launch control hooked up
Couple other small things.

Had a fun event at a new venue yesterday. While the car wouldn't start in the cold as i'm still trying to figure cranking settings (it's based on temp and it was the coldest i've tried to start the car), eventually she fired up.

New saying "She starts all the time, 60% of the time" - but seriously i need to get that figured out as it's really annoying.

Freshly pushed off the trailer...

Notes: I need a taller rear end. My car is an animal on tight courses but the high speed stuff leaves a lot on the table. I need to tune for higher RPM as the car just dies up top.

The course was just over a mile, so we were seeing times in the 60 second range, meaning average speeds were pretty up there.

I like this new lot. :)

Was this up at Stafford?

One of my friends texted me and told me he saw your car in Pomfret on the trailer.

Also, with your cold starts, have you adjusted After Start Enrichments or only cranking PW?

Thompson, not Stafford.

I have not really adjusted the enrichments, just the cranking PWs.

It's too much fuel across the board i think, and my cranking ignition angle is probably off.

Hmm, I've never touched the ignition angle.

Does the car pop at all or just crank and crank with nothing?

Pops a little but doesn't fire up to stay running. Next time you're down here take a peek.
