Bunch of other pics on cartct.com - new venue is 2.5 larger than the one we use most often, and has a view. Major props to Mohegan Sun for letting us run there.

Ray, what size tire and wheel are you running and what is the offset? It looks like you had to trim quite a bit to get it to clear.

275/40/17, 17 x 9 ET 20mm.
Yeah i had to trim a bit. I am considering going to a 255/45/17 or a 245/45/17.

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
Why so tall?
I'd really like to fit a 275/35r15, but I am sure I would have to cut a bit off the bumper. I have some 17x8 et38 wheels and I have been going back and forth between the 245/40r17 A6/v710, 225/40r17 A6 and 215/40r17 v710. Obviously wider is better, but I don't want to have to cut up the bumper becauase of the height. Just wondering if there was some benefit I was missing from a taller tire.

You could also look into the new BF goodrich g-Force R1-S tires, they have a 235 40 17 which is 24.2 tall & 9.3 wide and this would be for the front. Now the trick is the rear tire which I'm thinking the 255 40 17 which is 24.8 & 10.3 wide or the 275 40 17 at 25.5tall & 10.7 wide, for me this is going to be course dependant.whitelx wrote:Why so tall?

Re: "Ray's AKA demonfire's XR4Ti build up"
Tall for gearing, that's pretty much it. I'm running into the top of second gear now quite often, and if i can avoid a shift to third, it would make life much easier. I've already changed the rear ratio from 3.64 to 3.36 - i'm not lacking in torque at all, so i'd like slightly longer legs. A different row box isn't really in the budget right now, but neither is tires for the moment. (focusing more on family this season than anything).
