Yeah, and one of my friends (Matt S) has claimed to be the course designer for the 24th, he is saying we're going to have almost a 1/4 mile straight.

Gonna be a blast. Be great if you could make it, Nate.

I'm saying publically that I'm planning on being at the 6/24/2012 autocross. That must mean it will be true.

He'll probably drive my car (and beat me in it) joe. Unless mattslowwannabe shows up, then we'll rock his diesel jetta and destroy matt in it. But Matt wont show. He'll say he'll show, but he wont. ;)

I'd love to soot the starter while staging

I'd like to go if I can do all the front bushings in one day. I'm not sure how the car will do without P/S because I still haven't had a chance to fix the belt setup.

I would guess that first car off would be sometime between 10 and 11. (Hopefully closer to 10). Ray will probably be there a 4:45 in the morning, because he wakes the sun up each day. If you plan on racing (yes), then 8:30 to 9:00 should give you plenty of time to register and tech the car. Of course, CART does some weirdass stuff with their autocross plan, so all bets are off until Ray replies to the thread.

Most people arrive by 830.
Later than that, and you're pushing your time to register and tech the car. Since i'm the tech guy, late people make my work assignment take forever, so please be considerate.

Time table generally works like this

445am - I wake up the sun (just did that)
7-730am - i arrive, and start setting up
8-830 - most people arrive
830-845- tech opens
10 or about - tech closes
1015am - novice walkthru
1045am - drivers meeting
11am - first car off.

I'd advise getting there early too. We drive Merkurs. Something is going to be wrong/broken/messed up and will require more than the normal arrive and drive mentality

Well, I wasn't planning on racing, just showing up to hang out and check out the action. 10-ish sounds like a nice time for a Sunday drive.

Joe, any interest in the head liner board? I could bring it down. (Sorry for mucking up the thread)

No one can just hang out...believe me you'll want to race haha. And thanks for the offer Nate, but I ended up getting one from a local guy here (dcvilla) which already had black fabric on it. Thanks again though.

Updated list of planned upgrades via feedback from Dr. Anglin, who drove with me yesterday.

Finalize the damned tune (ie, stop use autocross to tune car) - condensed (nice) version of what he told me.
Change up front dampers (sub 1500 mile koni yellows will be for sale; email me if interested- most miles are from traveling to events, in good shape - modified for coilovers)
Increase master cylinder size. I'm used to the pedal feel, he wasn't and overshot a corner... by a lot.

Anyway, in the following images you will clearly see that i am faster. Or not. Good day, thanks for the feedback, Anglin.

Note: Image location might change; so if red X's show up i'll try to re-host.

Biggest victory thus far: 2 events with no failures, if i can make it to a bunch, i'll head back for some track days.

That's at Thompson speedway right? I think I will be bringing my XR this sunday. front coilovers, everything poly, leaky steering rack, bone stock rear suspension...should be fun! Do they have loaner helmets if I can't score one before then?

Yeah we now have loaners - you just need to buy a $2 head sock, or bring your own.

And i'm the tech guy - and i know XR's - so go over your car before you come. nothing loose (including floor mats) is the biggest offender. If you show up, i'll be easy to find. I'm the guy... with the merkur.
