Re: DSP to SM build
No new updates really but I do have a question for you all, when adjusting the screw type brake bias, do you screw it in for less front brake or screw it out for less front brake. the first to get it right gets a high 5.
This is my 1000 post, how cool is that.

Ben, If you are referring to a proportioning valve in line with the rear brake line, the more it is screwed in the more rear brake pressure you will have, as you back it out counter clockwise, you will decrease rear brake pressure. Ready for my high five now...

Doors aside because you can't find them here in the states.
Some real small things, no more front brake lock up which will help with turn in.
I'm going to try the rear sway bar thing again, mainly because of Grayson XR, not the 19mm but a 14mm and see how it feels next weekend.
The T5 with the 1.99 2nd gear works really great, just gets out of the turns so hard and powers up to the next turn. My dream T5 would be the 3.35 first, mainly because I use first just to get off the start, next would be the 2.09 2nd, yes I know there a Nissan T5 with those gear ratios BUT here's 3rd gear "1.79", This would be used with the stock 3.64 rear diff ratio's, now when you put that to 7000rpm's your MPH are 43, 69, 81. How cool would that be, only one problem about it, it's a 3500.00 transmission.
making sure all the small thing are done before heading off to the National's.

Here are some Vid's of my car at the last event, this is the first I've seen my car from the outside, it look like I don't have enough spring, bumping up the spring rates in the rear tomorrow

Re: DSP to SM build
Thank you, I haven't had Vid of me driving a car before, at lease I didn't let go of the steering wheel. I'm also going to look at my seat, moving around to much. Here's my co-driver for the day, on his first lap he spun out 5 timesEsteban wrote:Diggin' the video Ben. Smooth lines, throttle control, everything. You look very calm too.

Re: DSP to SM build
Thanks Guys, It's just 25 years of autocrossing. Save some of your old Vid's because I looked like a "frantic maniac" 20 years ago. I like to back and look at some of my old vid's from time to time and ask "what the hell were you doing there" & " come on HIT the Gas!". Also get you XR were you can believe in it and then drive it that way.hEaT wrote:Yeah, wow. Makes me look like a frantic maniac in comparison. I have much to learn.
