I saw your post about the LCA's, why did you replace the inner tie rods?

Trying different things you never know what you come up with, it's the long sweeping turns that I have a little push, working on it.

Ben
Because even with the old narrow LCAs I only had 5-6 threads on the end of the tie rod. See attached photo. So it was a necessary to swap out the tie rods. Now I have many many threads and feel a bunch safer.

Maybe I'll double check those just in case. What car/part number was the upgrade.

Note that I have my LCA mounting holes drilled up and out around a 1/2" or so in the subframe. Which doesn't help obviously.
Oh that's right so you lost about another 2 threads then me, that would my guess. Still going to check because if you have ever seen a tie rod break on a strut car at speed with R-comp tires, Lets put this way I don't have an extra chassis, Catastrophic Damage!

So just got back from the Lockheed event and everything WORKS! this little lack of gas/miss fire has been a PITA.

Now to get the new camber plates need to be made.
1lbs lighter flanges install
C-type harness bar built and installed
install smaller gas tank
change Battery from the 28 lbs one to the 6 lbs one
Clean up Exhaust
Flip R/tires
install new seat rails

Can't to finish the diet this XR was on, now that everything is working and I can't until this weekends event with the SCCA and see my car at full power against the EVO's, the look on there faces should be priceless.

I finally put the smaller gas tank in my XR and it still holds 10 gal of gas And! save 12 lbs of weight.

Nice to have all the weight now on the R/R.

Mostly for test purposes will be going to a fuel cell or back to the full size tank.

Cut a old leaking tank in half to get this tank.

But if the Sierra came with this size tank and you can get one? let me know.

Well if I was a real welder like you it would've looked a lot better. Oh well still learning.

Hell if it holds fluid that better than 90% of the people I see out there.

That tank had been sitting out side for years, so no residual gas in the tank, plus when I was cutting it, it had the same or more sparks.
