Andy. I have a new in box bushing for the old style MC2 diff mount.
I plan on using it but I can probably get my son to model it up and post it. Mine disintegrated like the newer version posted above.

That would be cool. I wonder why they changed the design? The rear mount available through Burton still has the oval shaped bushing, but they don't sell just the bushing itself. Then there's ebay versions that seem questionable. This MC2 mount is really well built and I hate to toss it. I was thinking how it wouldn't be that hard to mount it into a spare rear diff on a work bench. Then with the back of the diff facing up pour liquid material into the cavity using the diff mount as the mold. Some guy on youtube was doing that while restoring an old Pro-Flex mountain bike that used elastomer bushings for the front and rear suspension travel.

I remember talking with Chris some time back about the change to the newer style and his feeling as I recall was the bush would last longer with the new design since there is more material there.
The replacement one I have was sourced off ebay. Its red in color and looks like it was poured into an open top form instead of injection molded.
I think Rob Eddy may have been the seller looking at the user name.
Maybe he can chime in as to the origin. This could be a burton one or possibly he was remaking them.

We need mc2 back in business. This is a great rear diff mount just needs the bushing.

Andy, it gets to the point when dealing with vintage vehicles (especially with orphaned vintage vehicles) that we are "on our own".

Take careful measurements with a caliper of the oval space in the mount (and the depth of the mount) along with the spacing between the two center holes and the diameter of the holes. Draw a diagram with the dimensions and post it here.

I'll whip you up a 3d model that you can get 3d printed in TPU from any one of several online 3d printing bureaus. It won't be as expensive as you think.

Stuff like this is no longer an obstacle.

I'm going to keep it installed like it is for now, just to see how it feels when driving. Then I can swap it out for something 3d printed down the road. The kid next door into video games said he has a 3d printer so I probably won't need to pay anyone to make it. I will just trade him some old playstation stuff or buy him the spools he needs for projects.

OK, but if you need the 3d model made then let me know. Just looking at the shape I can say it would not take more than a few minutes to create the 3d model once the critical dimensions are provided.

If you look at the way the blue anodized faded you can see there was a lip of poly bushing around the edge. It was sagging a little for the last ten years but not clanking around or anything. I'd say it was good for the first 20 years of it's life. UV light seems to damage the exposed parts, while the center most part was still intact. Since I didn't want to buy anything I used what was laying around. Extra timing belt and this weird bmw structural foam that is for insustrial use only. I think it will be less firm than a solid mount while being firmer than stock. If I hate it then there's always the new Rapido stock style replacement or the Burton unit.
