I love your car. I love this build.
Who's doing the cagework? I assume you are given what i've seen here. Do you need to be certified to have an FIA approved cage?

I have always assumed that it just had to meet a certain criteria... even if your cousin from up in the hills built it for you... I could easily be wrong, though.demonfire wrote:Who's doing the cagework? I assume you are given what i've seen here. Do you need to be certified to have an FIA approved cage?

You don't have to be certified to build a cage, which is obvious from how many bad cages are out there. The cage just has to meet the rules for the class you want to run in. The HPDE events I want to go to usually don't have specific cage rules, so my cage is in excess of NASA rules.
As for as floopan removal, I had to remove it to clear the driveline. For the ride height I want the entire suspension had to be moved up about seven inches. That mean that pretty much everthing had to go.

More pics of the roll cage install. I have the rear beam re-mounted, the door bars and the secondary A-pillar bars in.

Update pics
It's been slow going on the XR, lots of suspension design work.
I have been working on the front clip of the car and the motor mounting worked out.
