i dont care to get involved in the autocross discussion (i put mine in the back, drag racer style since thats what i do), but i thought i would mention one of the important reasons of getting the battery out of the engine compartment is heat. heat kills batteries fast, and ford put it right next to a red hot glowing chunk of metal.

I'm brand new to Autocross.
I printed your battery placement photo, and plan to move my battery this weekend. Thanks.
My car had more of a drag race set up, but now I have to turn right and left.

gotta love reading that, so much of that info completely makes sense to me now that I am finishing up my rigid body mechanics class ;) we just went over moments of inertia and other things related to that topic ;)

for some reason I can't edit my previous posts its giving me some debug mode error or some crap. I was getting the same error when posting and suddenly 3 posts pop up

I can edit mine, but I know what you're talking about when you get the jibberish when you post. Don't attempt to repost when you see this, because it does enter it, and if you try again it will just be a double (or triple) post.
3" mandrel bent exhaust, Ported/Polished head, 1.89/1.57 valves, Gutted uppper/Knife edge lower intake, T3/T4, LA3, Big VAM, Cold air intake, 40bob header, Gillis valve, Forge BOV, Mustang SVO T5, Conquest intercooler, 20psi.
