You are driving 37 year old rust free Scorpio in the middle of winter in Detroit?

In the neighborhood of the shop, before the snow, 45 minutes or so west of Detroit, so I can't say yes to answer your question, but yes it was driven last week with new steering rack.andyofcolumbusmerkur wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 8:49 pmYou are driving 37 year old rust free Scorpio in the middle of winter in Detroit?

They are interchangeable...I recall on my parts car, I took the vents and little motors out of the car and gave them with a stack of other parts to the guy in Nova Scotia.brokencase wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2025 2:55 pm Ed, Question.
Are all three vent door motor units the same and interchangeable?

Crazy...Yes, quite close.
You've got tan interior, and more rust, which is amazing to see as I'm used to these having so much rust they can't be roadworthy.
I assume this isn't the same one you are restoring?

It was exploited in Crimea for most of its life. In 2020, it was bought and brought to St. Petersburg. At that time, it was rust-free. Over 4 years in our region, it began to rust.

Looks like it will be much less work than the first Scorpio.

I find it amazing that these US Scorpios end up in Eastern Europe.

The new paint looks great in the photos. Hope it looks as good in person. I love that interior btw, much more visually interesting than the basic black/gray ones.

Looks awesome Vovan. Did you paint the cladding also? If you did then what paint did you use?
