The car look spectacular Vovan. I feel privileged that you put my headlights to good use. Looks like you did a bit of polishing?
I am planning to do a respray of my cladding at some point in the grey color.
Your bonnet badge is in very nice condition also.

Dude, I literally gasped when I saw that. The car looks super clean! The new headlights and badge look awesome, great job on it.

Dear 8950,
Supposedly, Infinity Parts out of California has the original part taken from a 1988 Merkur Scorpio. What they have told me and what has occurred, thus far has ended up being two different things. I'm hoping they're legit and I will get working exact match fuel pump. I've asked that they send a photo of the fuel pump and a video illustrating the fuel pump is working.
Again, thus far, all I have received is the invoice showing I paid for the part and a punch of promises.

Were you not able to find the part number I had provided for using new parts?
If you decide you want to go that route but maybe are not able to implement the info I provided, I am sure I could assemble another complete setup and ship to you.

Wouldn't other adjustments have to be made if you get the other part opposed to the original OEM part? I trust your guidance. I know nothing about cars other than how to put gas in them and take them in for maintenance and repairs. PLease email me directly at [email protected]

Possibly, but when you're dealing with a 40 year-old car, you need to get creative sometimes. At this point I would never even think about using an original, used, ~40 year-old fuel pump. They don't age well. Most of us are using some sort of replacement pump that may be slightly different from original.

Just an update, we put the hood back on last night after being painted a while back.
Car is pretty complete and back together ready to go.
A second set of wheels that are cleaner than the ones it came with will get new tires this week.
Register it and start driving.
