I'm running 1.8 deg neg static camber and more than that for toe out - which might explain my corner entry push. THANK YOU.

Re: DSP to SM build
Well I've been having an idle problem, and off idle throttle reponse, because I'm running the bo-port 1.1 and the A237 did also, my engine was loping some and just like the sound it made, so I found out if you install a little vacuum ball between the vacuum tee and the Map sensor, smooth it right out, very happy.

Re: DSP to SM build
Where did you find out a little vacuum ball was needed? Is this something Bo told you if you're running a standalone? Cause we don't have MAP sensors right?

Re: DSP to SM build
I know different ECU, but also common with the MS guys. With a more aggressive cam, the vacuum bounces around and causes havoc in the fuel tables which are strictly based on MAP only. Smoothing out the input (similar to what OEM did with the screw in the boost gauge) helps the idle a lot.Esteban wrote:Where did you find out a little vacuum ball was needed? Yeah, my AFR at idle is actually kind of amusing. 13.4, 14.8, 17.6, 13.8... Never thought to do a vacuum ball, tho.

Re: DSP to SM build
I used a .023" welding tip in the vacuum line to the MAP sensor. Signal seems much smoother when compared to the straight 7/32" line I was using.

This is whats mines doing, it's all over the place and like I said the off throttle thing is bad, so this really helped. I need to kick my tuner guy in the nutts, only because he's a tuner guy and should have know that.Ray wrote:Yeah, my AFR at idle is actually kind of amusing. 13.4, 14.8, 17.6, 13.8... Re: DSP to SM build
Does your ECU allow closed loop idle control? I took the time to get it working on mine and helped out the AFRs at idle from varying coolant temp and IATs. I do have a stock cam though and haven't messed with cam timing.DSPXR4ti wrote:This is whats mines doing, it's all over the place and like I said the off throttle thing is bad, so this really helped. Re: DSP to SM build
So here's the little vacuum tube I made, I'm thinking of making a new one with some baffles in it, just to make things alittle better.DSPXR4ti wrote:Well I've been having an idle problem, and off idle throttle reponse, because I'm running the bo-port 1.1 and the A237 did also, my engine was loping some and just like the sound it made, so I found out if you install a little vacuum ball between the vacuum tee and the Map sensor, smooth it right out, very happy.

Re: DSP to SM build
Here are my parts for my new trans mount because the Chevy trans mount was a POS.

here's all the parts that need welding up

The 2nd pic are parts that are going on my narrow tunnel trans mount to fit the chevy tail housing, so I can mount my new trans mount up

this should lock down the transmission for the next event.
I take pic's of it when it's done.

Do you really need a tube that big? Cant you use something like the vacuum ball for the cruise control or air vents?
