I wondered what happened to you (thermal efficiency = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. Hopefully it was a good one (or it could be written thermal efficiency = xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx). I could use one myself (thermisters should be placed close to both ends of the IC core in order to reduce errors from heat absorbtion and rejection outside the IC core itself).John Brennan wrote:Well, I did need a vacation, so I took one-- feel much better now!![]()
Good to have you back, John (and remember, intercoolers = good).
Edit: I have removed the improper formula for heat exchanger efficiency above and will replace it with the correct one here:
thermal efficiency = (Tout - Tsurrounding)/(Tin - Tsurrounding)
Where:
- Tout = temperature out of the intercooler core
- Tin = temperature into the intercooler core
- Tsurrounding = ambinent air temperature
